A vibrant collection of stories about being bold, brave, and beautifully you. Whether it’s sneaking a twirl in a sparkly dress, dreaming up glittery worlds, surviving prom, or finding love in unexpected places, these shorts celebrate self-expression, queer joy, and the magic of becoming who you really are—with a little help from friends (and maybe a fox)!
Specially curated for Grades 5-12, this program explores themes of identity, family, culture and expression.
Drag Fox
Under the cover of night, a young child steals their sister’s dress to try on—only to be caught in the act by a fox (voiced by Sir Ian McKellan). A colourful stop-motion fable with a jazzy score and foot-tapping musical numbers!

Becoming Ruby
Canada’s first drag artist-in-residence Ruby Chopstix blazes a trail in Winnipeg, uplifting queer BIPOC performers and taking up space.

Loud and Cleo! (Cléo se fait des films)
12-year-old Cleo escapes from a hostile school environment into a glittery make-believe world…in the boys’ bathroom. Little does she know, someone else is hiding there too. Content notes: Homophobia and heterosexism, swearing and strong language.

Embers of Queer Joy
An endearing spoken word poem overlays 16mm vignettes of authentic queer joy. Content notes: Swearing and strong language.

With Love, Lottie
When Lottie, a disabled teen, worries that love isn’t in the cards, she turns to her friends for dating advice—only to discover that love doesn’t always follow the rules.
