YouthCO and the Community- Based Research Centre (CBRC) are teaming up to offer PIVOT, a Sexual and Reproductive Health initiative for queer & trans youth living in BC.
  • If you are between the ages of 19-29 and are interested in building and refining your leadership in community health, we hope you will join us as we unpack the systemic challenges that queer & trans youth face together when it comes to our health.
  • We will gather with other youth leaders in BC for a two-day in-person youth leadership retreat, where we will receive training in sexual and reproductive health, project planning, and community organizing. The in-person portion will take place between 10AM-5PM on October 21st and 22nd, 2023 in downtown 'Vancouver'.
  • Following the retreat, we will have the opportunity to apply the skills we have learned through an interactive pilot project over a series of online meetings.
  • Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided during the retreat. In addition, youth will receive $250 honorarium for their time and participation in the retreat weekend and an additional $250 for their participation in the pilot project.
  • We welcome any questions or curiosity about this initiative. Please send any questions you have to [email protected]
  • After RSVPing you will receive an email from us with a link to the application. Please fill out the application by September 15, 2023 to be considered for this opportunity.
