Join Mycelium and youth in your area for a scavenger hunt outdoors in beautiful Central Park. Complete with a beautiful, old growth forest right in the accessible heart of Burnaby/Vancouver, we can have fun, recharge our bodies with fresh air and summer air while participating in a low stakes, guided scavenger hunt using a notepad or an instant camera on our phones or other devices. RSVP at youthco.org, or contact Alistair using the information provided below.
Please remember to follow current health regulations and keep a safe distance from others. Masks and hand sanitizer can be provided to you on request.
Mycelium is space for queer & trans youth 16-29 across what is currently known as BC, where we gather to center healing, pleasure, and justice in our lives as we envision and create a world liberated from HIV & Hep C stigma.
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV & Hep C and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations in ‘Burnaby’.
Mycelium events take place on traditional, unceded territories of various First Nations in what is now colonially referred to as ‘British Columbia’. We hold this fact in our hearts and actions throughout our work at Mycelium. Our team is committed to an ongoing process of learning what it means to do work on this land in a way that brings us closer to Indigenous Sovereignty.
Mycelium offers online and in person programs organized by coordinators based on the traditional, unceded territories of the
səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil Waututh)
S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō)
