Hope you're enjoying the beginning of September and all that it brings.

Although it was a little sad to pack up the colourful summer outreach supplies we are excited to head into fall! We're looking forward to getting back into awesome workshops, continuing YouthCO programs, and drinking warm beverages!

YouthCO Article in the FNHA's "Spirit"

The First Nations Health Authority published an article by Jessica St. Jean, our Yúusnewas Program Manager, about our programming in their youth issue this summer! Have a look.

 

2. Upcoming Events

STEPHEN LEWIS @ THE VOGUE

Is the end of AIDS really possible? Join the discussion! Stephen Lewis, former United Nations Special Envoy on HIV/AIDS, is coming to the Vogue Theatre on September 16. Tickets reserved when we advertised this in May are STILL VALID :) Some YouthCO staff will be there and we'd love for you to join us.

Mpowerment: NERDTASTIC 2.0 




It's that time of year again, Nerdtastic 2.0! Come dressed in your best neon + nerd outfit, have a few drinks, dance the night away, and meet some awesome people! All are welcomed to join :)

YouthCO CORE TRAINING

Presenting our Annual HIV and Hep C Leadership Training! Our next core training is happening on September 27th and 28th. This is mandatory (and fun) training for anyone who wants to be involved with YouthCO. The training is also open to students and anyone who wants to learn more about HIV & Hep C.

Applications are now open for Next Up, a leadership program for young people committed to social and environmental justice.  Next Up was created by a community of people who wanted to help emerging leaders (that’s you!) develop new and better skills, smarts and ideas.
