This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.

Come join Mpowerment YVR and Yúusnewas as we host a 2STNB resource share, discussion circle and packing party for our new safer hormone injection kits!

We will be sharing our recently created Trans, Non-Binary and Two-Spirit resource booklet with the community and answering any and all questions you may have about the resource, sexual health, relationships, queerness, gender, and more!

Other creative activities in the space include button-making if you are feeling nonverbal, so everyone can participate at any capacity!

Open to youth from 18 to 29.

We will have catered food from Mr Bannock so be sure to get here at 6.30PM when it's served HOT!!

ABOUT US:

Yúusnewas is an Indigenous peer-led education program that provides workshops on HIV and sexual health in urban and rural communities across British Columbia. We approach the topics of sexual health and harm reduction by centering Indigenous perspectives and incorporating traditional teachings.

Mpowerment is a space for queer and trans young people ages 19 to 29 years old to meet, have fun and support each other in making informed decisions about our sexual health!

We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.

ACCESSIBILITY

This event is free to attend and open to young people ages 19 to 29 years old.

Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.

We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use.

We will have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options!

Bus tickets will also be provided.
