Love nature, fresh air, and great company? We thought so! Join Mycelium as we explore the great outdoors on this beginner hike. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend time with friends while also enjoying the sunshine!
Mycelium is space for queer & trans youth 16-29 across what is currently known as BC, where we gather to center healing, pleasure, and justice in our lives as we envision and create a world liberated from HIV & Hep C stigma.
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV & Hep C and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
Mycelium events take place on traditional, unceded territories of various First Nations in what is now colonially referred to as ‘British Columbia’. We hold this fact in our hearts and actions throughout our work at Mycelium. Our team is committed to an ongoing process of learning what it means to do work on this land in a way that brings us closer to Indigenous Sovereignty.
Mycelium offers online and in person programs organized by coordinators based on the traditional, unceded territories of the
səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil Waututh)

Shane Lake Trail is located on the traditional, unceded territories of the Dënéndeh, Dakeł Keyoh (ᑕᗸᒡ ᗲᘏᑋ), and Lheidli T'enneh peoples.
We invite you to find out what territory you will be joining this event from by visiting https://www.whose.land/en/.
Due to the venue being an open-air environment, this will not be a scent-reduced event, and we cannot ensure that others at Shane Lake Trail won’t bring food containing nuts or peanuts. There is a possibility of exposure to airborne particles from nuts and fruits for those with airborne allergies.
Snacks, water, sunscreen, and bug spray will be available but we encourage participants to bring their own, as well as a hat for the sun and to prevent ticks. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes that can get dirty.
If you need a ride, please contact Skye ahead of time.
This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.
If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Skye @ [email protected] or 778-349-8374 for more information.
