Event Description

It’s a community art night! Mycelium has a very large, and very blank piece of paper that we want to fill with all things that bring us joy, our hopes and dreams. Maybe even challenges or hesitations. Anything and everything we want to share! Mycelium's got the materials, snacks, and space to gather. We just need you to show up as you are. Folks are invited to bring anything that we'd like to use to make art with or to help us feel more comfortable. Let’s make something beautiful together as a community of friends.

BONUS! Our friends at Yuusnewas will be joining us to provide a space for crafts and beading!

"What’s your rose, bud, or thorn?”

If this event is sold out: please feel free to email alistairp@youthco to be put on a waitlist 🌈

Mycelium Description

Mycelium is space for queer & trans youth 16-29 across what is currently known as BC, where we gather to center healing, pleasure, and justice in our lives as we envision and create a world liberated from HIV & Hep C stigma.

We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV & Hep C and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships, and all the things that bring us pleasure.

Land Acknowledgement

Mycelium events take place on traditional, unceded territories of various First Nations in what is now colonially referred to as ‘British Columbia’. We hold this fact in our hearts and actions throughout our work at Mycelium. Our team is committed to an ongoing process of learning what it means to do work on this land in a way that brings us closer to Indigenous Sovereignty.
