Summer is here!!
Put away those winter hats, and come join us at our Art Night, where we will be making flower crowns to adorn our heads during the summer.
Whether you’re headed out for a festival, or just a picnic in a park, flower crowns can be a colorful and fun addition to your wardrobe!
We will have all the materials needed, and FREE dinner from Baghdad Café. Come have some food, make some art, and make some friends. 😊
Food will be ready at 6:30PM, so be sure to come by early to grab a plate while it’s warm.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
Mpowerment is a space for queer and trans young people ages 19 to 29 years old to meet, have fun and support each other in making informed decisions about our sexual health!
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
ACCESSIBILITY
Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two, all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.
Vegetarian and meat options will be provided, along with tea, juice, soda and water.
We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use.
We will try our best to provide art-making tools and mediums which are least scented as possible, to commit to keeping a fragrant-free environment.
This will be a nut-free and peanut-free event. Please refrain from bringing any food items containing nuts or peanuts into the space to ensure participants are not exposed to harmful allergens.
This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.
If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Joelle @ [email protected] or call 604-688-1441 for more information.
