Gone Pumpkin Pickin' at Maan Farms

It's pumpkin season!

We will visit a pumpkin patch, see some farm animals, and try not to get lost in the corn maze. We will enjoy some refreshments while we fight HIV stigma together. Per usual, transportation, entrance to the farm, and refreshments are included.

This event is a FREE event by and for youth living with HIV.

Things to bring

As we are visiting the farm during rainy season, we might need to bring our belongings depending on the weather.

- water bottle

- umbrella in case if it pours

- light jacket or sweater 

- closed toe footwear, we might be walking through muds and soil

About Positive Program

Positive Programs is a special place for young people living with HIV and/or Hep C to connect and share our experiences. We offer free programs and assistance for youth with HIV and Hep C throughout British Columbia. Although most participants are living have HIV, we are striving to better serve those living with Hep C too. Our programs include one-to-one supports, leadership opportunities, and camps. 

Youth living with HIV and Hep C are welcome in all YouthCO's programs and disclosure is not mandatory for participation. Here at YouthCO you can meet others, fight stigma, and get supports from one another.

Land acknowledgement

Our office is located on unceded, stolen land, home to xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, səlilwətaɬ Nations. Our work takes place on ancestral and traditional territories, and current homelands, of many Indigenous Nations taken through colonization that continues today.

Accessibility

Not all part of Maan Farms is wheelchair accessible, however a good chunk of the area are. it's not accessible with transit so rides will be provided. Please reach out if you have other accessibility needs. 

We do not need to disclose our HIV or Hep C status to the group to participate. All participants agree to maintain confidentiality.
