PG Movie Night: Boys in the Band

Event Description 

Let’s get cozy! Join Mycelium in a screening of queer drama film “Boys in the Band". In this 2020 American drama film, a surprise guest turns an evening upside down when he interrupts a gathering of gay men in 1968 New York City. After the screening we will have a conversation about the themes reflected in the film.

Mycelium Description 

Mycelium is space for queer & trans youth 16-29 across what is currently known as BC, where we gather to center healing, pleasure, and justice in our lives as we envision and create a world liberated from HIV & Hep C stigma. 

We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV & Hep C and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.

We hold this fact in our hearts and actions throughout our work at Mycelium. Accessibility

This event will take place at Positive Living North, 1563 2 Ave, Prince George, BC V2L 3B8. Use the back entrance to get to the main space where the event will be held.  

This venue is not wheelchair accessible presently. Positive Living North is a scent-reduced space (please do not wear scented products to the event) and has gender-neutral washrooms. 
 

This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.
