This event will be taking place on the ancestral, unceded, and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
Our evening of board games, video games & quick n’ easy HIV/STI testing is back!
In between rounds of Smash Bros, board games, and munching on some sushi, take some time to check in with one of our queer friendly nurses.
Testing @ Mpowerment events are 100% free, confidential, and optional. Signup will be done on a first-come-first-served basis and we will try to see as many people in one night as we can. You are encouraged to come early to get your name on the list.
Mpowerment is a queer-centered, trans-inclusive, and gender affirming space for young adults (19 - 29 years old) to meet, make friends, and talk about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure. We work to create safer spaces for all young people including those of us living with HIV.
Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two, all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.
Vegetarian and meat options will be provided, along with tea, juice, soda and water.
We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use.
This will be a nut-free and peanut-free event. Please refrain from bringing any food items containing nuts or peanuts into the space to ensure participants are not exposed to harmful allergens.
This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.
If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Ivan @ firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
