Mpowerment Discussion Night: Apart From Queer

Eat some pizza, meet some people, make some friends and join us for our monthly discussion night!

This month we’ll be talking about all the ways our identity and experiences intersect (or don’t) with our queerness. Are you out and proud in all parts of your life? Or is your queerness mostly the people you have sex with or don’t have sex with? Who are we, if anything... apart from queer?

Mpowerment is a queer centered, trans-inclusive and gender-affirming program by and for young men and gender diverse folks who are gay, bi, Two-Spirit, or queer to hangout and learn more about ourselves and each other. We work to create safer spaces for all youth including those of us living with HIV.

This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom. 

Vegetarian and meat options will be provided, along with tea, juice, soda and water.

This event is FREE and open to youth ages 16-30 years old.
