Online Beading

Join Yuusnewas and Mpowerment in our online beading night! This event is for beginners and professionals and everyone in between. We will be offering supplies and a casual online hangout session on January 21^nd at 6:00pm. Our friends in the Yuusnewas program, with the help of Skye, will be offering the basics and support for beginners to create their first beaded earrings.  

We welcome queer & trans indigenous, Two-Spirit, indigiqueer and allied youth ages 16-30. This event will be online and open to folks across British Columbia. RSVP today to help us get your beading supplies to you on time for the event. When you RSVP, you will have the option to share your mailing address. If you require supplied, please include your address so we can mail your supplies to you in preparation for the event. We will be meeting on Zoom and links will be sent out to those who have RSVP’d at www.youthco.org/mpmt_beading .

Mpowerment is dedicated to creating space for queer and trans youth to connect, learn, and support each other in all things like: relationships, sex, drugs, and all things that bring us pleasure.

At YouthCO we aim to reduce stigma on HIV and Hep C through community engagement with peer-led, sex-positive, non-judgemental, inclusive, harm reduction approach.

This event can be accessed from anywhere across the province, but I am fortunate to live and work on unceded territory of  the Lhedli T’enneh people.

ACCESIBILITY

This event will be an Online Event and all you need is a computer with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our event will be on Zoom, you can sign up for free, the link will be emailed out to participants once they have RSVP’d.

The Mpowerment program will be ordering supplies and mailing supplies to participants who have RSVP’d. This online beading event is for any skill level.

The is event is FREE for queer and trans youth ages 18-29.
