Resisting Criminalization Videos Online Premiere

Indigenous youth from across BC came together to discuss criminalization in our communities, and to create video poems on this important topic! We explored ways we see criminalization in our communities, and how we can resist criminalization. We discussed the criminalization and stigma surrounding substance use - why some substances are criminalized and other are not, criminalization of HIV non-disclosure, and criminalization of land defenders. In partnership with Reel Youth, we took these conversations and created short poems which we then filmed and edited!
