Event Description
Join us at the movies! We're watching the new queer iconic movie "Drive-Away Dolls" in theatres! Theatre and time will be released closer to the day and dependent on unreleased Cineplex screening times. We will aim for Metrotown Cineplex sometime after 5PM to accommodate for our friends who work during the day :)
Synopsis: Drive-Away Dolls (titled onscreen as Henry James' Drive-Away Dykes[4]) is a 2024 American comedy road film directed by Ethan Coen. Coen wrote the screenplay with his wife Tricia Cooke; they also produced the film with Robert Graf and Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. It stars Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon. Qualley and Viswanathan play two lesbian friends on a road trip to Florida who find themselves on the run from mobsters with a briefcase that the mobsters are after. The film also marks Coen's directorial debut without his brother Joel.
