Mycelium's New Community Garden
April 9, 2025
We’re so excited to share the launch of Mycelium’s Community Garden. We're partnering with the amazing folks at Urban Bounty, who have generously donated a garden plot for the year. This plot is in Richmond and all supplies will be provided.
This community garden plot will be a place for queer and trans youth to gather, learn about regenerative gardening practices, native plants, and sustainable ways of growing food. It’s also a place to slow down, connect, and access fresh produce 🥬.
Taking care of ourselves and each other includes building skills that nourish us—mentally, emotionally, and physically. In the face of systems that often make it hard to access basic needs, growing food together is one way to resist and share joy 💖.
There are a couple seeds in the ground already and we hope some produce will be ready for folks to take home during our first seedling transplant day (coming soon!). Stay tuned for upcoming garden days, workshops, and harvesting parties. We can’t wait to dig in with you 🌈!
With love,
The Mycelium team
