Holiday Care and Pleasure

As we approach the colder months and the holiday seasons for some, it may feel especially challenging to think about our wants and needs, let alone, have them met. Join us for a peer-led conversation around our wants, needs, pleasure, care, boundaries and everything in between! We will explore our wants and needs and reflect on how we can practice caring for ourselves and each other during this season.

This is the perfect opportunity to connect with, learn from, and learn with other queer and trans young people. We hope that through these conversations, we will be able to re-centre our pleasure in everything that we do.

ABOUT US

Mpowerment is a space for queer and trans young people ages 16 to 30 years old to meet, have fun and support each other in making informed decisions about our sexual health!

We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.

This event will be taking place on the unceded traditional ancestral territories of the Stó:lō, Kwantlen, Qayqayt, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Semiahmoo, Tsleil-Waututh, and Tsawwassen nations.

ACCESIBILITY INFO

This event is FREE and open to youth ages 16-30 years old.

The will be held over Zoom, an online video meeting platform. Participants will need access to a device with a screen, sound, mic and internet capabilities like a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop to participate.

The event will be facilitated by a YouthCO peer facilitator. The private meeting link will only be provided to confirmed participants.
