Speaking out against shaming

There’s no shame in being HIV+! Unfortunately, shame is an all too common part of the experience for those of us living with HIV: sometimes we’re shamed for our status, our choices around treatment, and/or the sex that we are (or aren’t) having. All this does is reinforce the stigma around HIV. With all this stigma, accessing the resources and support that we need to stay healthy can become even more difficult. So whatever our status or viral load, speaking out against shaming can be one way to #resiststigma.
