Reclaiming Our Health Resource Launch & Dinner

This event will be taking place on the ancestral, unceded, and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Come join Mpowerment YVR in launching Reclaiming Our Health, a resource created by and for two-spirit, trans, and nonbinary youth!

If you’re are two-spirit, trans or nonbinary and are curious about sexual health for yourself and others in your community, come on out to learn more about this resource over dinner, board games, and video games!

We will have FREE dinner provided from Kinara, so come for the tasty Indian food, and stay for the company and shared learning. 😊

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Mpowerment is a queer-centered, trans-inclusive, and gender affirming space for young adults (19 - 29 years old) to meet, make friends, and talk about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure. We work to create safer spaces for all young people including those of us living with HIV.

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

ACCESSIBILITY

Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two, all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.

We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use.

This will be a nut-free and peanut-free event. Please refrain from bringing any food items containing nuts or peanuts into the space to ensure participants are not exposed to harmful allergens.

A variety of dinner options will be available including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and meat options.

This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.

If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Joelle at joellej@youthco.org for more information.
