YouthCO October Newsletter

Hi YouthCO Members!

Fall is here and we're really looking forward to everything that's going on around the city (as well as the occasional Pumpkin Spice Latte).

Catch us at Kwantlen's SEXPO next week, and at UBC's Health Fair later in October. We've got a fun Mpowerment Thanksgiving potluck happening this Saturday so come on down and bring your friends. And, speaking of Thanksgiving, we'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who's been involved with YouthCO over the years. We are so grateful for all our amazing members, donors, and allies who make our work possible.

1. NEWS

Core Training Success!
We had a fantastic Core Training weekend at the end of September and are super stoked about all of the new YouthCO members. Thank you for coming out to the training to learn about HIV, HepC, Harm Reduction and our approaches at YouthCO. The next one is coming up in January so keep your eyes peeled if you or anyone you know is interested! www.youthco.org

HIV Education for Aboriginal Youth

Our fantastic Yúusnewas Program Manager, Jessica, has been featured in an article published in the NorthShore News. Have a read!

October is Queer History Month!

There have been so many LGBT+ advocates around HIV, safer sex, human rights and fairer laws. This is a great website to learn a little bit about some of the people who laid the groundwork and pushed for so many of the rights we have today. www.lgbthistorymonth.com
