Mpowerment is a space for queer and trans young people ages 16 to 30 years old to meet, have fun and support each other in making informed decisions about our sexual health!
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
This event will be taking place on the unceded traditional ancestral territories of the səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Qayqayt, Stz'uminus, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm nations
This event is FREE and open to youth ages 16-30 years old.
Due to the venue being an open-air environment, this will not be a scent-reduced event, and we cannot ensure that others at Central Park won’t bring food containing nuts or peanuts. There is a possibility of exposure to airborne particles from nuts and fruits for those with airborne allergies.
There will be a 10 to 15 minute walk to and from the picnic location. The walking will take place primarily on gravel (rocky) ground and grass.
