Come join Mpowerment for our next dinner and discussion night!
At this discussion night we will be talking about consent, and what that means for us across all our relationships!
What does it mean to prioritize consent in our interactions? Is boundary-setting hard? Why??
How does consent come up for us in sex, in dating, or elsewhere? How does it feel when your boundaries are respected? How do we know what our boundaries are??
Let’s talk about it!
We will have FREE dinner provided from Sushi Home, so come for the tasty food, and stay for the company and shared learning. 😊
Mpowerment is a space for queer and trans young people ages 19 to 29 years old to meet, have fun and support each other in making informed decisions about our sexual health!
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
This event will be taking place on the ancestral, unceded, and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
This event is free to attend and open to young people ages 19 to 29 years old.
Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two, all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.
We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use.
This will be a nut-free and peanut-free event. Please refrain from bringing any food items containing nuts or peanuts into the space to ensure participants are not exposed to harmful allergens.
A variety of dinner options will be available including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and meat options.
If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Joelle at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
