This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
Culture is Healing is a monthly event for and by Indigenous youth. During these events, we come together to share cultural teachings and knowledge, and are able to provide a safer space where we can have discussions on topics such as holistic well-being, harm reduction, sexuality, sexual health, HIV, and Hep C. This is a gender affirming space, and we welcome Indigenous youth with all identities to share our space for Culture is Healing.
Join us for our December event!
Want to watch a movie that has Indigenous actors/actresses? Movies that express problems we often face as an Indigenous community or even just the humor we all share? Yúusnewas has a line up of movies for you to choose from. Please e-mail Amanda for your vote!

Dance me outside (1994)
Two Indians Talking (2010)

We ask that you join us in making this event as scent-reduced as possible. This means maybe using fragrance-free products in lieu of any scented-products you may usually use. We do smudge and use medicine that can have scent. Please give us as much notice as possible if smudging or medicine use may aggravate scent sensitivities.
On site childcare is available upon request. Please let us know the age(s) and number of any children you are bringing.
