Larissa

Larissa is Indigenous to the prairies and lives as a guest on the unceded and ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Larissa is the Yúusnewas Program Manager and enjoys supporting the Yúusnewas team in all of their exciting work with Indigenous youth across the province. She is passionate about deconstructing colonial ideologies and practices, and revitalizing + reclaiming Indigenous traditional teachings in her everyday life. She’s been an active advocate in her Indigenous communities throughout university and hopes to continue that advocacy throughout her time at YouthCO. Larissa also enjoys all the pleasurable things in life such as Americanos, intriguing conversations about Grey’s Anatomy, hot summer days at the beach, or doing anything physically active.
