The agenda will be as follows:

6:00-6:30: Introductions & Icebreakers

6:30-7:00: Harm Reduction Workshop (potential harms & ways to reduce harms associated with dug use, safety planning, safer smoking & injecting practices)

7:00-8:00: Naloxone Training (intro to the opioid crisis, steps to responding to an opioid overdose, practice injections, receiving naloxone kits)

8:00-8:30: Q & A, Survey* & Wrap-up

*YouthCO and Pivot Legal Society are working together to hear from young people about what information they would like to have about calling 911 at the scene of an overdose, what might stop youth from calling 911, and what format is most useful for them to receive information about calling 911. After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to fill out the 'To Call or Not to Call: Hearing Youth Experiences with Calling 911' survey & be entered to win a $100 gift card.

About the Event:

-Food will be provided (let us know of any dietary restrictions/allergies)

-We will be discussing drug use, addiction, and overdose. These topics can be really difficult and personal so please bring what you need to take care of yourself (i.e. fidget toys, a friend, a blanket, etc.). We will also invite participants to step out at any time if they are feeling uncomfortable.

-Needles and other drug works will be present. Again, we will invite participants to take care of themselves in the ways that work for them, including stepping out at these points if needed.

-Childcare and transit reimbursements are available upon request
