Queer and trans communities can be an awesome place… but some of the messages we hear can end up reinforcing harmful stigma, stereotypes, and discrimination towards us and others perceived as “different”– whether because we are queer and/or trans, or because of other intersections of our experience and identities.
Join Mpowerment for a conversation about how these messages can show up in our lives and in our communities, and how we can break them down and make change for the better!
Afterwards, we’ll make space for a debrief for anyone that would like some time to talk things through.
Free rides too and from event are available - get in touch with Shain for more info!
If you have questions about the event, food allergies, or would like to talk about accessibility of the event, please contact Shain @
firstname.lastname@example.org OR message the Mpowerment PG page directly
Mpowerment PG is an in the north for the north community program. We are a queer centered, trans- inclusive and gender affirming space for young people to connect and learn more about ourselves and all the things that bring us pleasure.
We work to create safer spaces for all youth including those of us living with HIV.
