Core Training is open to YouthCO Board directors, volunteers, and staff.

RSVP below to reserve your spot at YouthCO's Core Training program!

We will spend two days together in facilitated discussion, conversation, and activities! Through Core Training, we will build skills to communicate about HIV and Hep C in destigmatizing ways, learn how colonization, racism, and cissexism that shape HIV and Hep C, and learn basic information about these viruses and tools to prevent HIV and Hep C from passing within our communities.

During Core Training, YouthCO staff provide an introduction to YouthCO, and the values and approaches that we bring to our work. On Day 1, we focus on introducing YouthCO, and exploring anti-oppression, with a focus on colonization and gender. On Day 2, we cover the basics of HIV and Hep C, criminalization of HIV non-disclosure, and harm reduction supplies for sex and drug use. We close by considering our roles as youth and peers within the broader history of HIV and Hep C.

Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are provided, with COVID precautions in place! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions by August 28.
