Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

Hywel is jumping headfirst into YouthCO as the new Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. He's been working with and training volunteers for the past four years at different organizations including the Vancouver Queer Film + Video Festival and the Vancouver Fringe Festival.

Hywel has witnessed the power of volunteerism around Vancouver fuelling art, community, and advocacy and is excited to work within a peer-driven organization with so many warm, like-minded people.

He's an out gay man, and a bit of a closet nerd. You can often catch Hywel gravitating toward loud music and sometimes writing for Xtra!West.
