Harm Reduction Workshops

YouthCO's Harm Reduction Programs offer a variety of flexible and interactive games and workshops on HIV, Hepatitis C and and reducing the harms associated with substance use. Our workshop formats and content are adaptable to the specific needs of each group.

Hep C 101 is a basic introduction to Hepatitis C covering:

• the difference between Hepatitis A, B, and C
• liver function
• Hep C transmission
• progression of the virus
• substance use continuums 
• prevention, harm reduction and safer using

The Harm Reduction Trivia Game is a grassroots game show that:

• is designed for mutli-barriered, "high-risk" and/or street-involved youth
• is designed for youth who may face barriers to basic needs such as proper nutrition, shelter and support
• offers participants the opportunity to determine what they are interested in learning at any given session
• allows youth the flexibility to determine their level and length of participation
• includes topics like HIV/AIDS, Hep C, substance use, nutrition and the body
