What Are the Symptoms of Hepatitis C?

Many people who test positive Hepatitis C do not show symptoms for many years.  Even if they aren't showing symptoms, they may are still infected with Hepatitis C, the virus is still harming their liver, and they can still spread the virus to another person.

Symptoms include:

  • flu-like symptoms
  • fatigue (very tired)
  • loss of appetite
  • weakness
  • fever
  • nausea and vomiting

More severe symptoms include:

  • abdominal pain (stomach ache)
  • skin rashes
  • dark urine
  • jaundice (yellow tone to the skin and eyes)
  • chronic fatigue (persistent tiredness)
  • joint pain
  • itchy skin
