Young Gay Men's Project
YouthCO's Young Gay Men's Project is launching full steam ahead with the development of a needs assessment designed to identify the prevention needs of young gay men throughout the Vancouver area. Working with a variety of young gay men and their service providers throughout the City, we are looking at the factors that put young gay men at risk of HIV infection, such as:
- homophobia
- city neighbourhoods
- isolation and community connectedness
- role models and pop culture
- growing up gay
- negotiated monogomy/non-monogomy.
This needs assessment will be used to develop an interactive campaign targeting young gay men in our city. Stay tuned as our project unfolds!
